Judy Collins has perhaps the most soothing voice one could imagine. Here are all the great lullabies (27 on the cassette and CD), with full orchestral arrangements by Ernest Troost, using real strings. One catalogue actually guaranteed this tape would put your child to sleep. We won't go that far, but we do think this is the best lullaby tape ever made, for children of any age. As for the video, it's designed to be watched by parent and child (infant through age 3) together, just before bedtime, to slow things down and make bedtime easier. This time we took 26 famous poems (video is slightly shorter) by poets like Gertrude Stein, A.A. Milne, Robert Browning, and Emily Dickenson, set them to music by Ernest Troost (those real strings again), and Judy Collins got to sing some of the best lyrics ever written. Although originally intended for young children, the CD turned out to be one of the prettiest and most interesting albums Judy's ever made, and is totally appropriate for adults as well. The video is meant to be watched in those wee hours of the morning when you'd rather be sleeping, but can obviously be enjoyed anytime. Winner, Parents Choice Honors Award.

For infants through age 5, not just for babies, which is why we've changed the name to Rhymin' Time! This is a lot of fun, whether you go for the audio or video version. You may want both.
