This
is the movie critics raved about, audiences flocked to see, and no one could stop talking
about. 10 top film makers were each given a dream assignment: pick your favorite piece of
opera music, and visualize it anyway you want. Sexy, funny, tragic, beautiful, sensuous,
insane, touching. Everyone loves at least 7 of the 10 sections, but no one agrees on which
ones. Check it out for yourself. Starring
Bridget Fonda (in her outrageous first screen role), Elizabeth Hurley, Theresa Russell,
John Hurt, Buck Henry, Beverly D'Angelo, and Anita Morris. Rated R primarily for Nudity
(including Fonda and Hurley). As far as we know, this is the only movie in which the
beautiful Theresa Russell appears as a man (King Zog of Albania, known for shooting back
at his assassins).
Directed by: Robert Altman, Bruce
Beresford, Bill Bryden, Jean-Luc Godard, Derek Jarman, Franc Roddam, Nicolas Roeg, Ken
Russell, Charles Sturridge, and Julien Temple. |
